"Raghavan" – Synopsis

Raghavan IS a thought-provoking novel centered on environmental pollution, global warming, and the ecological crises caused by human intervention. A lifelong nature lover, Raghavan, at the age of sixty-five, becomes determined to restore the Earth to its former green and youthful state. Convinced that humanity is responsible for environmental degradation and pollution, he devises an extremely dangerous plan. Believing that the rapidly growing human population is the root cause of the planet’s problems, he sets out to destroy the ozone layer using CFC gases. What begins as a mission to save the Earth gradually evolves into a threat to the very survival of humankind. To achieve his objective, Raghavan harnesses immense financial resources, advanced science and technology, and the power of religious beliefs. Anticipating a possible global catastrophe, he constructs a highly sophisticated underground city beneath the Anjneri Hills to preserve life after the Earth's devastation. However, his journey, which begins with the noble goal of protecting the planet, slowly turns toward destruction, and before he realizes it, “Raghavan” transforms into a modern-day “Ravana.” As his plans unfold, India's intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), and the United States' Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) begin tracking his activities. RAW agent Ranveer and CIA agent Sarah face the daunting challenge of preventing a catastrophe and safeguarding humanity.
